HaFI participation to the Steirischen Herbst, Sep 22 – Oct. 16, 2022, Graz, Austria

On September 23, the exhibition Harun Farocki against War will open at Forum Stadtpark during the Steirischen Herbst (Sept. 22 – Oct. 16, 2022) in Graz. Conceived by curator, author, and artist Antje Ehmann in collaboration with the Harun Farocki Institut, the exhibition presents a cross-section of Harun Farocki’s works against war. These bear witness to Farocki’s lifelong interest in countering media images of war with a new cinematic language.

At 7 p.m., Clio Nicastro will give the opening address.

The following day at 8 p.m., Clio Nicastro and Tom Holert will participate in a panel discussion, The Special Optics of War with Oleksiy Kuchansky, moderated by David Riff.
